ansible.netcommon.net_banner – (deprecated, removed after 2022-06-01) Manage multiline banners on network devices

To install it use: ansible-galaxy collection install ansible.netcommon.

To use it in a playbook, specify: ansible.netcommon.net_banner.

Synopsis

This will configure both login and motd banners on network devices. It allows playbooks to add or remove banner text from the active running configuration.

Note

This module has a corresponding action plugin.

Parameters

Parameter	Choices/Defaults	Comments
banner string / required	login motd	Specifies which banner that should be configured on the remote device.
state string	present ← absent	Specifies whether or not the configuration is present in the current devices active running configuration.
text string		The banner text that should be present in the remote device running configuration. This argument accepts a multiline string, with no empty lines. Requires state=present.

This module is supported on ansible_network_os network platforms. See the Network Platform Options for details.

  ansible.netcommon.net_banner:
    banner: login

      this is my login banner
      that contains a multiline

Return Values

Common return values are documented here, the following are the fields unique to this module:
